Soundscapes July 2020

Soundscapes proved to be popular in 2019, so we plan to repeat the experience during the summer of 2020. We are also pleased to announce that the day raised in excess of £700

A whole day workshop in a lovely garden in the beautiful Vale of Pewsey. Marquee and fire pits are provided but warm clothing suitable for outdoor weather is suggested. No dogs please.

Cost: £25 for all day; £15 for 1 workshop. Lunch and refreshments available at a reasonable cost.

Programme
10.30
The venue is open from 10.30 to allow time for those who have travelled a distance to have a comfort break and settle to their surroundings.
11 am prompt start
Sound Relaxation, using Gongs, Himalayan bowls and other instruments, with Pauline McCrann, practitioner and tutor with the College of Sound Healing.
The morning session:
Please bring a yoga mat or camping mattress, cushion, blanket, or even a sleeping bag, and a bottle of water. If you will find it difficult to lie down for up to 90 minutes, bring your own camping chair, or we may be able to provide one if you ask in advance.
Wear comfortable, warm clothing preferably natural fibres that not rustle as you move.
Please arrive in plenty of time to settle down by 11 am as late comers will not be admitted as it is too disruptive to the experience.
Older children who are happy to lie still and in silence for up to 90 minutes are welcome.

Lunch break 12.30 to 1.45
Lunch and refreshments: available from Afrikaya at a reasonable cost. You are requested not to consume your own food or drinks (other than water) at the venue. All food served will be vegetarian. If you have special dietary requirements please contact us a few days before.

2pm afternoon sessions starts
Shamanic frame drumming with Geoff Miles who has been a practitioner in frame drumming for over 20 years.  Geoff will be offering fun Native American rhythms, trance drumming and journeying.
Bring, hire or buy a frame drum from us. Please let us know if you will need to hire a frame drum [£1 to hire] or wish to buy one so we can make sure we have enough. afrikaythecharity@gmail.com
Latecomers will not be admitted, so please settle in plenty of time for the start.
Older children welcome if they are able to participate without disruption for 2 hours.
