The School
The Afrikaya nursery school at New Yundum, The Gambia, has been designed pro bono by student architects Jack Munro and Yashin Kemel .

The school will be built using eco-friendly materials including compressed earth bricks. The plan is also to use solar and wind power. The build is being supervised, pro bono, by Alpha Omar Jallow who also project managed Sandele Eco Retreat and the new theatre in Bakau, The Gambia.
